Stanley Park Ghost Train

Halloween is the time for trick-or-treating, so why not treat yourself to a ride on the Ghost Train! Hosted in Stanley Park from October 8-31, this year’s theme is Day of the Dead, which is the Mexican festival to pay respect for loved ones that have passed.

The train will be open from 5:30pm – 9:30pm from Monday through Thursdays. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, closing is extended until 10:00pm and a less-spooky matinee train will run from 11:00am to 5:00pm. While you’re there, be sure to check out the 3rd annual Spooky Barn, the indoor haunted house, for $2! To learn more or buy tickets, click here.

Fright Nights

Every year in October, dark clouds form over Playland at the PNE as the night comes alive. From 7 haunted houses, 15 rides, and spooky monsters in every corner, this is not the Playland your parents visited. Although you are encouraged to bring your Halloween spirit, be aware that costumes and face paint of any kind are prohibited.

On select nights from October 7 – 31, you can experience the thrill at Fright Night. Don’t forget to upgrade to a Rapid Pass as well, which get you into the events quicker! Find out more about the event here.

Potter’s House of Haunt

Most of the year, Potter’s Farm and Nursey is just a local garden centre. However, October is the special time of year where the monsters and spirits join us surface-dwellers in a night of spook and thrill. With two haunted houses this year, Monstrosity and the popular Swampin’ Slaughterhouse, Potter’s hopes to keep you on your toes as you proceed through one of BC’s highest rated haunted houses.

Open on certain most October nights, Potter’s House of Horrors offers an earlier 4:00-7:00PM timeslot for the Lil’ Haunters aged 12 and under, as well as a family hour from 4:00-6:30PM and regular show from 7:00-10:00PM. Located at 12530 72nd Ave in Surrey, BC, you can find out more about the event here.
